Our Mission Statement

We teach based on the curriculum for primary and secondary schools as well as the curriculum for students with learning disabilities, and offer every child and young person a school career that corresponds to their learning development.

We are committed to supporting children and young people with special educational needs in the areas of learning, language, and emotional and social development. We provide preventative advice and support in an inclusive setting at various locations.

We start from the life experiences of our children and young people and place their individual abilities and learning needs at the center of our work.

We strengthen children and young people in their self-esteem with the aim of developing their individual personality and independent, values-oriented life skills.

We offer expertise in special education diagnostics and provide consultation to teachers, parents, and all persons involved in the educational process.

We work in teams with different professions to combine our diverse professional expertise in such a way that it benefits the individual child.

At both locations, we share facilities with a primary school and other institutions with whom we collaborate. It is important to us that the students interact and play together under shared rules. Furthermore, we value open communication at the management level and among the teaching staff.

Some elements of our cooperation include:

  • Inviting classes from both school types to projects, theater, or music performances

  • Joint celebrations and school assemblies

  • Recess monitors (Kirchenstraße location)

  • Joint morning supervision (Herrnstraße location)

  • Uniform rules for afternoon play

  • Regular meetings at the management level

  • A shared safety plan
